Slightly Mad's modern and insanely realistic rendition of an open-wheel car Official Project Cars website

Game developer Slightly Mad takes pride in the work it did for "Project Cars," which is set to be released on May 7 in Australia and Europe, and May 8 in the U.K. Those in the United States will get it the earliest as the title is sure to race into the Xbox One, PS4 and PC on May 6.

Just recently, Slightly Mad announced that the title has gone gold, which means that the game is ready to be printed to discs. This also implies that there will be no more delays. It can be remembered that the title's unveiling was moved three times — from March to April 2 to mid-May.

"After months of intense work on what will certainly be the ultimate racing experience, we're extremely happy to confirm that Project CARS has now gone gold and will release in EMEA territories on May 7th 2015," Ian Bell, head of studio at Slightly Mad Studios, said. "We know the wait for the game to be released was worth it, as we're confident the quality and realism level we have achieved will provide our fans with the game they are all expecting."

The realistic racing simulation was confirmed to boast 110 different race tracks all across 30 locations, all of which resembling tracks in the real world. Ultimately, "Project Cars" is touted to bring out the "largest track roster of any recent racing game." Slightly Mad has chosen to recreate great spots from different parts of the world and configured them into several layouts. It will take gamers to well-known locations, including Zhuhai International Circuit in China, Sakitto in Japan, Chesterfield in the United Kingdom, and Greenwood in Ireland. The complete list of the race tracks can be found here

Free expansion packs will be released soon after the game comes out, one of which features W Motors Lykan Hypersport from "Furious 7." The developer is also looking to release "Project Cars" on Wii U.
