'Pokemon Go' to make changes in EX Raids feature based on player feedback

Mewtwo can be caught in "Pokemon Go's" EX Raids feature. Pokemon Go

Niantic's latest feature on the popular augmented reality game "Pokemon Go," EX Raids, will be getting some tweaks from the developer after negative feedback from users.

The company went to Twitter this week to thank fans of the game for the feedback that they have provided. "Trainers, thank you for your feedback on EX Raid Battles," said the company. "We're working to improve the invitation system based on what we heard from you."

The new feature was launched in beta last month, and players have voiced out many complaints about it. The feature includes an invitation-only multiplayer system that will give out invitations to players to battle rare Pokemon on a specified date, time, and location.

The game doled out invitations to players randomly. This means that hardcore gamers have the same chance to receive invitations as any other player who has won at least one Raid battle.

The EX Raids were also tied to specific locations, which makes participation more difficult for some players. Invitations are likely to be given to players who have participated in a regular Raid at the same location where the EX Raid will be held. This means that if a player completed a previous regular raid while away on a vacation, he or she may not be able to participate in the EX Raid that will happen there, even if he or she receives an invitation.

Another complaint that users have noted is that certain legendary Pokemon like Mewtwo can only be encountered through EX Raid battles. This means players who do not get invitations will not be able to complete his or her Pokedex.

As of now, it has not been revealed how Niantic plans to address these complaints. However, "Pokemon Go" players would be glad to know that the company is listening to them and is willing to apply changes to the game based on user feedback.
