"Outlander" season 2 is currently filming, as fresh episodes will be aired sometime in 2016. However, there are already several reports surrounding the Starz time travel series.

It was previously reported that in the second season, Claire (Caitriona Balfe) and Jamie's (Sam Heughan) grown-up daughter Brianna will be introduced into the series.

The last season of "Outlander" showed Claire revealing to Jamie that she's pregnant so a time-jump leading to the events in season 2 will happen.

Brianna's story, however, will stray a bit from the book series. As already made known, "Outlander" season 2 will be based on Diana Gabaldon's "Dragonfly in Amber" book.

(Spoiler alert) Brianna will travel back in time to search for her parents so she could be with her real family. Although Brianna was introduced in the second book, the time travel part didn't happen until the fourth book. But for the "Outlander" series, that particular storyline will be brought into the second season, E! Online reported.

No one has been confirmed to play Brianna as of the moment, but a casting call requires an actress to stand five feet eight inches or taller and someone's who's not girly yet is still vulnerable and inexperienced.

Brianna won't be the only character who comes back to Jamie and Claire's life. It appears that Tobias Menzies' character will also be making a comeback.

According to a report from Scotland Now, there were leaked pictures from the "Outlander" season 2 filming showing Heughan and Menzies doing fighting scenes.

The leaked photos were from the filming location at Pollok Country Park in Glasgow and it showed Menzies' Black Jack Randall is not really dead.

Carter Matt also reported that it could be possible that Menzies' other character, Frank Randall, will be featured and will serve as an obstacle to the Jamie–Claire tandem.
