Recently, rumors regarding the Meizu MX5 Pro Plus have surfaced, providing expected specs and images.

In comparison with Meizu's recently released smartphone, the MX5 Pro Plus will reportedly sport a larger phablet size with 6-inch display screen and a Quad HD pixel resolution. The previous MX5 offers a smaller 5.5-inch display screen with a 1080 x 1920 pixel resolution.

Like MX5, the new phablet is also expected to have a powerful 20.7-megapixel camera on the back. It may be noted that the MX5 has a 5-megapixel camera on the front as well.

Android Headlines reported that the MX5 Pro Plus will pack an Exynos 7420 processor, like the Samsung Galaxy Note 5, along with 4 GB of RAM and up to 32 GB of built-in memory. Android Headlines added that the new Meizu phablet could be equipped with a home button and fingerprint sensor as well.

In comparison, the MX5 has a Mediatek MT6795 octa-core processor, 3 GB of RAM, and up to 64 GB internal memory storage. According to GSM Arena, there are other memory options available, providing either a 16 GB or 32 GB memory.

In terms of battery life, reports say that the MX5 Pro Plus will have a massive 4,100 mAh battery, which will definitely offer users longer usage time. As for the MX5, it is powered by a 3,150 mAh battery. According to GSM Arena, Meizu's MX5 currently uses the mCharge technology feature, which can charge the phone up to 60 percent in just 40 minutes.

The new phablet, like the previous MX5, will run on the Android operating system (OS).

In terms of availability, nothing has been mentioned about when the new Meizu phablet will come out; however, it's very likely that it will arrive before the end of this year.
