While the producers of "Longmire" seem to be on radio silence after announcing that the series will return for its fifth season, one of its lead stars revealed a very important piece of information about the show's development.

On Twitter, Lou Diamond Phillips, who portrays the role of Henry Standing Bear, revealed early this week that they will begin shooting the episodes for season 5 sometime in March.

This could prove that the next installment of the Western-inspired crime drama will be released in September just like its previous season. According to a report from Santa Fe New Mexican, the producers of the show announced that Netflix picked up season 4 in the fall then began filming the scenes in late March. Then the production wrapped in late July then released the season on the entertainment streaming platform in September.

The news about the return of "Longmire" for season 4 delighted the show's avid fans after they launched an online petition to ask Warner Horizon Television to look for a new network when A&E announced that they would not renew the series after season 3.

Netflix announced in November 2014 that they decided to pick up the show and released season 4 in September 2015.

Based on the rumored spoilers for the upcoming season, the answers to the questions left in season 4 will be finally revealed. This could mean that viewers of the show will finally learn who set the van on fire in the season 4 finale. According to speculations, the one who is responsible for setting the vehicle in flames as well as the one who broke in was Walker Browning (Callum Keith Rennie).

Other speculations claim that the relationship between Walt Longmire (Robert Taylor) and Dr. Donna Monaghan (Ally Walker) will be one of the main stories for season 5, especially since it was revealed in season 4 that Donna was working with Browning.
