As previously reported here on Christian Today, "The Incredibles 2" is moving forward and writer-director Brad Bird is already busy working on the script. No official plot details or release date have been revealed but according to a report from CrossMap, it is very likely that Jack-Jack will be the main villain in the film.

Jack-Jack Parr, played by both Eli Fucile and Maeve Andrews in the first film, was only an infant back then who displayed no super powers until the film's finale. He showcased numerous capabilities such as the power to transform into a beast and even change into pure metal.

According to the report, Jack-Jack will now be around 6 years old in "The Incredibles 2" and may become the film's villain. Rumors say that the first film's villain, Syndrome, somehow survived the events in the first film and is now manipulating Jack-Jack to get his revenge. This is compounded by Jack-Jack's inability to properly control his powers.

The report also states that Mr. Incredible (Craig T. Nelson) and Elastigirl (Holly Hunter) aren't very active as superheroes anymore as they have passed the responsibilities to their children, Dash and Violet. They may still be prominent characters in the film, along with the rumored return of Frozone (Samuel L. Jackson) as a supporting hero.

No release date has been officially announced but the report says it is likely that the film will open in theaters as early as November 2017 or in June 2018. According to MovieInsider, these two months have slots for unidentified Pixar films so there is a high chance that one of these release dates could be for "The Incredibles 2."

The first "Incredibles" film was released in November 2004 and if Pixar will follow the same release schedule, then they may be shooting for November 2017. The other film rumored to take up the second release date is "Cars 3."
