Hillsong Young & Free has just released its exclusive "This Is Living" music video featuring Lecrae with Relevant Magazine.
The exclusive premiere is a follow-up to their debut album We Are Young & Free which featured five tracks, three of which are brand new songs with the upbeat energy that Hillsong Young & Free has become known for.
The music video started with scenes and short snippets of young people. The statement, "Anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person" flashes on the screen, together with Bible verses from 2 Corinthians 5:17 and John 10:10.
It is a celebration of youthful vibrancy, and the video explores the different lives of the youth as they play sports, go shopping, and have fun in theme parks and video arcades.
The band simply explains at the beginning of the music video that they are the young and the free because they have found a new life in Christ.
The "This is Living" video topped iTunes charts last week, going as high as No. 6 in the Overall Albums chart and No. 1 in the Christian/Gospel chart. It was also No. 1 on the Billboard Contemporary Christian chart and No. 38 on Billboard's Top 200 Chart.
Meanwhile, Pastors Peter and Laura Toggs gave their own explanation in the Hillsong blog what "This is Living" truly meant.
"Our stories are marked by the moment we find Jesus and all that He means for us now," they wrote. "Now... we are made complete by Him. Now... we are saved by His grace. Now... He sets a new life in motion. Now... our hearts are in pursuit of Him. Now... we are energised by His truth. Now... our trust is placed in His unfailing love. Now... our belief is set firm in our faith. Now... our every breath is purposed to worship and to praise."
The two said that they can sing "this is living now" because of Jesus, and they prayed that everybody who sings the song will be reminded of the impact Jesus has made on their lives.
