'Grimm' season 5 premiere spoilers: Nick says his final goodbye to Juliette

Those who are still hoping to see Juliette (Bitsie Tulloch) still alive in the next season of "Grimm" will be disappointed when they see the recently released video clip showing the gloomy funeral of Nick's (David Giuntoli) lady love.

The animal doctor-turned-Hexenbiest was killed by Nick's protégé Trubel (Jacqueline Toboni) when Juliette was about to attack Nick in her beast form. Nick was naturally devastated after Juliette's death, even if she was the reason why his mother Kelly (Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio) was killed by the royals.

Nick's despair is reportedly carried over in "Grimm" season 5, where he becames darker and withdrawn from his friends. This could even cost him his job as the homicide detective of the Portland Police Department.

Based on the trailer, Nick will find out that he is suspended from his job after this depression over his previous loses has affected his daily life.

The synopsis for the premiere episode of "Grimm" season 5 titled "The Grimm Identity" reads:

"In the wake of his mother's beheading and Juliette's death, things have never been more chaotic for Nick. Having lost so much, Nick must dig deep and decide what type of person he wants to be, while also coming to grips with fathering a child with his once sworn enemy, Adalind. His search for the truth leads him to FBI Agent Chavez (guest star Elizabeth Rodriguez) and puts him at odds with those close to him."

Meanwhile, the Entertainment Weekly revealed that Rosalee's (Bree Turner) past addiction to Wesen drugs will come back to haunt her. While there are no details provide about the effects of his former addiction, it was revealed that it will come in an extremely dark human form that is very far from her usual cheerful self. This could possibly affect her relationship with her husband Monroe (Silas Weir Mitchell).
