'Grey's Anatomy' season 12 spoilers: Owen moves in with someone

Grey's Anatomy ABC

"Grey's Anatomy" season 12 will see Owen moving in with someone, but not with the person viewers expect it to be. Series creator Shonda Rhimes recognizes that Owen and Amelia are still "circling each other" but this doesn't extend to them being together in one house.

"Owen's going to find himself moving in with somebody that he had not planned to," Rhimes told Entertainment Weekly.

She did not give a hint on who it will be but fans think that either Arizona or Callie, who are no longer in a relationship, will stay with Owen under one roof. There are also speculations that Owen will move in with Jackson, who is also having troubles with his relationship with April. Whoever will end up sharing a house with Owen, it is likely to be someone that will surprise viewers.

In other related news, Ellen Pompeo, who stars as Meredith in the series, recently broke her silence about the worries on how the show will go on without McDreamy around. There were rumors that her character's Alzheimer's disease will be the focus of the new season and she didn't like the sound of that.

"All of a sudden, Patrick [Dempsey] leaves, and it's like, Oh my God, Meredith's gonna get killed with Alzheimer's! The show couldn't possibly go on without the man!" she told Entertainment Weekly.

In a report by US Weekly, the actress mentioned that Rhimes' other series, "How to Get Away with Murder" and "Scandal," are known to be carried by characters Annalise Keating and Olivia Pope, respectively, and just them, "but somehow, Meredith Grey needs someone."

"Why can't I just be the lead of the show the way Annalise and Olivia can? Why can't I be on that poster by myself?" Pompeo went on to say, admitting that "this is really difficult for my ego."

Life goes on for Meredith in "Grey's Anatomy" season 12. There are no concrete details as to what she will be up to in the new season, so fans will just have to wait until it premieres on Sept. 24.
