GoPro Hero 5 release date delay rumors: Stalled to 2016?

For the folks who have been eagerly awaiting the official release date of the GoPro Hero 5, well, it seems that the earliest the device could come out would be the end of the year, according to the Gazette Review.

While that could be a bummer for people who are eager to see the widely talked-about features of the said camera, it could be worth the wait.

This has something to do with the fact that the GoPro Hero 5 will reportedly be armed with the capability to record 8K resolution videos at 60 frames per second (fps) and to shoot in 3D mode.

Whichever of the two the GoPro Hero 5 will truly be able to do hardly matters for now; but it is worth noting that GoPro Inc. is trying to make it right as they try to continue offering devices to wow their customers.

For those who could not wait for the GoPro Hero 5 to be made available, there are alternative products from the company. Such include the recently released Hero 4 Session and the Hero + LCD.

The Hero 4 Session is a small camera that has so far impressed and garnered positive reviews from users. Among its popular features include the capability to record videos for up to two hours.

Meanwhile, the GoPro Hero+ LCD is technically the cheaper version of the GoPro Hero 4 and comes with a mounted LCD at the back. It can record videos at 60 fps with a 1080p resolution.

With the delay in the release of the GoPro 5, the currently available Hero 4 Session and GoPro Hero+ LCD could probably suffice for now.

The GoPro 5 was said to be originally scheduled for release on October 5; but seeing that the company is not fully convinced that the said action camera is 100% ready, the delay could stretch to as far as early 2016.
