"Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" has officially launched for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. The game features the heroes and villains from the "Dragon Ball Z" manga and anime, as well as a few guest characters from "Dragon Ball Super." With the game's launch, it has also been revealed that the villains Hit, Frieza, and Cooler have been added to the roster.

As stated by Forbes, Frieza and Cooler are both the children of King Cold, a space-faring conqueror. Cooler was never shown in the main manga or anime series, but he did appear in two separate "Dragon Ball Z" movies. Cooler, unlike Frieza, has also been shown in his final form and one form stronger than his final form he could not control.

Frieza, on the other hand, is one of the most popular villains in the series because he was responsible for the destruction of Planet Vegeta, which is where the Saiyans come from. Frieza also killed Goku's friend, Krillin, and he was the enemy Goku faced when he turned into a Super Saiyan for the first time.

Hit was never shown in the regular anime series, but he became a popular enemy in "Dragon Ball Super," the official sequel series to "Dragon Ball Z." Hit was revealed to be an assassin from Universe 6, and he had a unique skill known as the Time-Skip. In the anime and manga, this Time-Skip was used prominently when Hit had to go up against Super Saiyan Blue Goku.

Forbes points out that the Time-Skip ability in "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" appears to be more of a cinematic ability than a functional one.

Given that the game was already released, it has garnered a 73 percent rating on Metacritic based on 11 official reviews. The general census is that it does improve upon the original, particularly in terms of graphical prowess, presentation, and new features, but it still suffers from the fact that it plays like the original "Dragon Ball Xenoverse."
