Did Franklin Graham really say Donald Trump is a better candidate than Hillary Clinton?

Rev. Franklin Graham has long made it clear that he is not endorsing any presidential candidates for this year's American elections, but a report has surfaced that Graham spoke better of Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump as opposed to Democratic bet Hillary Clinton.

This was according Bishop E.W. Jackson, founder of Exodus Faith Ministries. Around 900 pastors and political leaders gathered in New York on Tuesday for a meeting with Trump, and Graham was the one who delivered the opening prayer and remarks, according to The Christian Post.

Jackson recounted that Graham apparently said he prefers Trump over Clinton, even though he acknowledged that all the candidates are flawed.

"Franklin Graham made this point and it is a powerful one - there will never be a perfect candidate as much as we would like one. There will never be a perfect candidate. In fact, he said, 'Look, I am a sinner, we all are sinners. We all fall short of the glory of God,'" Jackson says. "He said that we don't get to choose between perfect evil and perfect good. We get to choose people that we believe are at least inclined to, open to, have the possibility of doing what is best for our country."

"[Graham] made quite clear that one candidate offers absolutely no hope - Hillary Clinton. And, another candidate offers a tremendous amount of hope - Donald Trump," Jackson continues. "I think he made clear where he stands. Nobody left that room wondering is he considering boycotting. Just the fact that he showed up tells you everything you need to know, really."

However, when The Christian Post sought Graham's camp for a comment regarding the matter, representatives clarified that Jackson misinterpreted Graham's comments during the meeting, and that Graham never said that Trump was a better option than Clinton.

For now then at least, who Graham is voting for on the day, if anyone, is between him and God.
