"Criminal Minds" was sidetracked a bit in its previous episode, "Beyond Borders." It featured actor Gary Sinise who will serve as the lead character in a spinoff series that will follow the International Unit as they help out Americans troubled in foreign countries. The rating for this backdoor pilot will help CBS figure out if the spinoff series could stand on its own and if the network would push through with the offshoot.

This week, "Criminal Minds" reroutes back to a new and familiar case at hand. In the episode titled "A Place at the Table," the BAU will investigate the murder of a family in Maryland as they find them all lifeless at their own dining room table.

To discover the identity of the culprit or the unsub, the team will be looking into other family members and friends of the slaughtered family as some of them may have had the motive. But along the way, the unit will be digging up more secrets as they dive into the family's past.

Speaking of harking back into everything that went before, Hotch will do more of that in the brand new "Criminal Minds" episode, too. Realizing that his father-in-law Roy has Alzheimer's disease, the hardworking no-nonsense agent will resolve his differences with his late wife's father before it's too late.

Whether or not his attempt to reconcile will be a success or how the agent will do it, there is no telling. Nevertheless, fans want to see more of Hotch who hasn't had the spotlight on him lately. Furthermore, this "Criminal Minds" installment looks like it will draw some emotional substance from this situation.

Episode 20 of "Criminal Minds" season 10 "A Place at the Table" will air on April 15.
