It is uncertain why Captain America is being targeted by so many supervillains. But if "Captain America: Civil War" is proof enough of the Captain's unwavering moral standards and values, every fan is hoping that he'll come out the victor.
As fans may already know, "Civil War" is a story about the Superhero Registration Act that requires every superhero to register under the government and is forced to join the police force. Tony Stark or Iron Man surprisingly agrees to this act, while Steve Rogers doesn't.
The disagreement between the two Avengers results to the superheroes picking sides. And according to rumors, this war will be the end of the all-American Captain. What's really unsure is which villain's hands will take the life of Steve Rogers.
Stark is the main antagonist of the Captain in the movie. However, it was also confirmed that Brock Rumlow will be playing Crossbones. Some reports have already pointed to Crossbones as the culprit behind the Captain's death. Then again, with a new entrant in the casting list, the Captain's life is again up for grabs.
In recent reports, Daniel Bruhl's name has been dragged in the "Civil War" movie without any confirmation as to which character he will be playing. Although Marvel hasn't said a word about this, a recent report from Movie Casting Call said that Bruhl will actually play Baron Zemo, another one of Cap's enemies.
In the comics, Baron Zemo is the main enemy of Captain America. According to Screen Crush, he is "a Nazi scientist fond of creating death rays that would be used to destroy the world." He was responsible for making Bucky Barnes the Winter Soldier. The only question here is how will Baron Zemo make it all the way to the present time from the 1940s?
With a casting line up like this, it is no wonder Anthony Mackie (Falcon) actually said that "Captain America 3" is more of an "Avengers 3.8." Thanks or no thanks to this new development, the expectation for "Civil War" has risen to unprecedented heights once again.
