It has been three years since the first season of popular manga series turned anime series "Attack on Titan" has ended, and fans are hyped over the recent announcement that "Attack on Titan" season 2 will be aired in the Spring of 2017.

The official "Attack on Titan" website has recently announced that the second season of the hit anime series — also known as "Shingeki no Kyojin" — will be released in April 2017.

In "Attack on Titan" season 2, the plot is speculated to surround Eren Yeager and the Survey Corp's discovery that they have an enemy Titan within their team.

Meanwhile, other rumors suggest that just like the original story from the manga Clash of Titans, the anime adaptation will soon reveal the true identity of the Colossus Titan and the Armored Titan, a rumor backed up by a new "Attack on Titan" season 2 image poster that shows Colossus Titan and Armored Titan with Eren in his Titan form.

Other speculations about "Attack on Titan" season 2 suggest that fans will now see the main antagonist in the "Attack on Titan" manga series, the Beast Titan. What's more is that rumors suggest that the appearance of the Beast titan will cause Ymir — a good friend of Krista Lenz — to soon reveal his true form in an attempt to go against the Beast Titan.

As for Eren Yeager, it is speculated that his ability to transform into a Titan will be shown in "Attack on Titan" season 2. Eren will soon discover Grisha Yeager's secret that was hidden in the basement.

As told in the manga series, Eren will find out about his brother Zeke. He will also discover that his father passed down the Coordinate power to him. Additionally, fans will also soon uncover that Annie — another titan shifter who has the ability to turn into a titan with unique fighting skills — was working for Eren's brother Zeke, who also turns out to be a titan.
