'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.' season 3 spoilers: Skye embraces Quake transformation in new episodes

Viewers will witness Skye (Chloe Bennet) fully transform into Daisy Johnson aka Quake in the upcoming "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." season 3.

In an interview with IGN, the actress discussed the complete shift of her character from being a simple operative to a full-pledged Inhuman with seismic ability. The orphaned hacker-turned-S.H.I.E.L.D. agent discovered who she truly was in Season 2. Bennet said that the change of identity had not been difficult for her, considering her new wardrobe and short hair. But fans would surely take time to adjust to her new powers and looks.

Daisy Johnson aka Quake will showcase her true powers in the upcoming season of "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." Marvel Comics

"She's different but she's as much different as Skye in Season 1 was from Skye in Season 2. She's slowly transitioning. She's kind of no nonsense now and shorter hair makes more sense for that."

She also said that Daisy would assume a more mature role in season 3, as she would lead the team of agents against rogue Inhumans just like herself. When asked how her character would deal with her divided loyalty between the two pacts, Bennet admitted that it was a difficult task.

"She's as loyal to the Inhumans as she is to S.H.I.E.L.D. But she's really about making them work together. It's about making it a collaborative effort," she said.

As for her relationship with surrogate father figure Agent Coulson, the actress said that would be the biggest change of all for her in the upcoming season. Viewers would reportedly see Coulson more in the field as he worked side by side the other agents. Cinema Blend reports that he would be more of a boss now instead of a parent, but he would always be a mentor for Skye.

"They're definitely more on a co-worker level this year. It's more of a collaborative effort and he's really trusted the effort he's put into raising his protégé."

"Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." season 3 premieres Sept. 29 on ABC.
