Success has different meanings to different people and sometimes our idea of success can be at odds with God's plan for us. In our society, the way we define success can include completing a goal, making a profit or securing a position of influence. There is some crossover with the examples of success that we see in the Bible but authentic success in the Bible has a spiritual aspect to it as well. It goes beyond the limited time we have here on earth and is only possible through God.hat we achieve all things through Him and that we have a responsibility to share the fruits of our success with others.

If you're struggling for success or unsure about whether your plans are faith-centred, these verses are a good place to start. The following Bible verses look at the nature of achievement, how we can be successful and God's role in our accomplishments.

Psalm 37:4 - Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart.

Psalm 1:1-3 - Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers, but whose delight is in the law of the Lord, and who meditates on his law day and night. That person is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not whither - whatever they do prospers.

Proverbs 3:1-4 - My son, do not forget my teaching, but keep my commands in your heart, for they will prolong your life many years and bring you peace and prosperity.

Proverbs 16:3 - Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and he will establish your plans.

Luke 12:15 - Then he said to them, 'Watch out! Be on your guard against all kinds of greed; life does not consist in an abundance of possessions.'

Philippians 4:13 - I can do all this through him who gives me strength.

1 Peter 4:10 - Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God's grace in its various forms.
