Xbox Games with Gold February 2016 prediction: List of free games may have been leaked

 Xbox.com

It's too early for Microsoft to reveal the batch of free games coming to the Xbox Games with Gold for the month of February but a new leak seems to have done the announcing for the company several days prior.

There's an image going around showing three titles believed to be the complimentary games for next month. The photo shows that games like "Hand of Fate" and "Killer Instinct: Ultra Edition" will be downloadable on the house, as well as "Z Heroes," which was barely legible in the photo.

Interestingly, "Z Heroes" is already this month's Xbox Games with Gold freebie. It was made available for download for free to Xbox One-playing subscribers of the service back in Jan. 16 and it will be on the house until Feb. 15.

"Killer Instinct: Season 1 Ultra Edition," on the other hand, is currently free to players of the new-gen console as well. It is downloadable for free throughout the month of January.

The most eye-catching listing is "Hand of Fate," which may actually be one of the games coming for free of charge for Xbox Games with Gold for February 2016. Developed by Defiant Development, the indie action role-playing game was released February last year.

The game is often reputed as a card game that came to life and is definitely famous for its fun, deckbuilding nature. It also sounds like a title Microsoft will offer as a freebie to Xbox Games with Gold subscribers.

Nonetheless, it is still best to take this leak with a grain of salt. It is, however, important to note that Xbox Games with Gold leaks aren't unprecedented. In the past, several lists of free games for the service have been leaked.

At the moment, downloading the aforementioned games from the store requires users to pay full price. Segment Next believes that this may simply be a technical glitch. Microsoft should announce the Xbox Games with Gold February 2016 titles next week.
