WrestleMania 32 rumors: Can the show go on without classic The Undertaker match?

A WrestleMania event will never be complete without a classic matchup involving The Undertaker. As things stand now, the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) is walking on a thin line to try and outdo itself as far as booking another classic involving the Phenom.

Original plans pitting him against John Cena have been tossed since the Cenation leader is recovering from an injured shoulder. With that out, the WWE needs to find someone who has not fought The Undertaker yet and assure fans that it will be a big draw.

Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar would have been interesting too. Reigns is rumored, however, to take on Triple H, something that will replace an original face-off involving Seth Rollins. Like Cena, Rollins is out due to injury.

Lesnar, on the other hand, is something fans will not want to see. Both already met at WrestleMania 30 and everyone knows the heat that happened on the storyline. That feud came to an end (finally) at WWE Hell in a Cell.

Bray Wyatt would have been neat as well but that already happened at WrestleMania 31.

Triple H? That has been done already twice (WrestleMania 17 and 27), so no dice.

How about Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson? Unlikely as well because of insurance issues. In fact, it would be surprising at this point if Dwayne Johnson would wrestle at all.

So with crunched options, who can possibly face The Undertaker and put on a good show?

Kevin Owens, as reported previously, would have been interesting but, apparently, not happening. Dean Ambrose could be an option but it is likely he will be pitted against someone else for the intercontinental belt.

Kane could be possible but the two did match up already at WrestleMania 14.

With that said, the possible opponent will likely be among the baby faces, unless some retired but legendary figure pops out of nowhere. If that becomes the case, The Undertaker needs to summon a lot from the dark side to make this match pretty interesting to help boost the hype for WrestleMania 32.
