Comedian Tracy Morgan missed the "Saturday Night Live" tribute dedicated to him. According to a report by Salon, the actor was not yet emotionally prepared to watch the "SNL 40" special but the report states that he was "incredibly moved."

The "SNL 40" tribute featured Morgan's co-stars Tina Fey — who agreed to give him a spot in her latest show "Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt" as soon as he's up and about — and Alec Baldwin.

In honor of their friend who is still recovering from the road accident that injured him and killed fellow comedian James McNair, Fey stated during the show, "I wish my friend Tracy Morgan was here tonight, and I know that he was hoping that he would be well enough to be here, too."

The New York Times quotes Morgan's lawyer Benedict Morelli as saying, "Tracy is working very hard to get better, physically, emotionally and mentally. Because in all three areas he still has a struggle on his hands."

As Morgan continues to recover from brain damage caused by the accident, Wal-Mart had settled a $10 million agreement with McNair's family. As reported by Reuters, the sum of the settlement will go to McNair's children, 26-year old Jamel and 19-year old Danita. According to E! News, $3 million of the sum will go to the McNair family lawyer, Daryl Zaslow.

Zaslow stated that the settlement was difficult to finalize because McNair's regular income was not high during the time of death. Wal-Mart was not willing to agree on the settlement at first and that it took the family several months to reach an agreement.

Morgan, McNair, and three other companions were in their limousine bus when a Wal-Mart truck rammed them from behind, killing McNair and injuring the others. During a later investigation it was revealed that the driver had not slept in over 24 hours and was driving well over the speed limit.
