'The Young and the Restless': Jason Thompson debuts as the new Billy Abbott

Last week on "The Young and the Restless," Billy continued to fight for his life in the hospital after he was brutally beaten up by his bookie. Meanwhile, Noah still believed that he was the one who injured Billy and he told Victor that he hit Billy with his car, but Victor ordered him to keep quiet. Noah told him that Marisa saw everything and that she knows what happened. But Marisa helped Noah dispose of his tires.

Paul asked Kevin about Billy's gambling, and the two talked about what Marisa told them. Later, the bookie arrived at Paul's office, and while he admitted that he did beat up Billy, he wasn't the one who ran him over with a car.

Paul asked Jack and Phyllis why Billy decided to place such a huge bet. Kevin admitted that Billy wanted to come up with the funds for his business venture. Later, Jack told Phyllis that he'll invest in Kevin's project on Billy's behalf.

At the hospital, Dr. Neville told Billy's doctor that surgery is out of the question and the Billy is the perfect candidate for his experimental treatment. Billy's family argued about him, with Victoria saying that he wouldn't have wanted to be like this and that he told her that should something bad happen to him, he wants to be taken off life support. However, Michael said that it wasn't her decision to make as Billy gave Jack his healthcare power of attorney.

Will Billy survive this ordeal? This week, Billy will regain consciousness, but when he returns to join his family, a very different Billy will be facing them as "General Hospital" alum Jason Thompson, who just wrapped up a 10-year run as Dr. Patrick Drake on the ABC soap, will debut as the new Billy Abbott.
