Nearly all the folks who love the Real Housewives franchise seem to agree that the Dallas chapter barely had any spark. With so few ardent followers, it is no wonder that the news for a second season seems elusive.

The Bitbag also alludes to Bravo's hesitation in taking a chance on the return of cast members Cary Deuber, LeeAnne Locken, Tiffany Hendra, Stephanie Hollman, and Brandi Redmond for a second season.

Several reports also conclude that the pilot season of the Dallas series lacked the high level of conflict possessed by other successful versions of The Real Housewives. One of the few controversies on the show revolved around LeeAnne's frequent accusations that Cary was involved with Mark Deuber while he was still married. The Deubers, however, explained that there was little truth to these comments, as this article on Inquisitr narrates.

On the subject of the renewal of the Dallas segment, Cary Deuber, in an interview with Heather McDonald, said she wasn't aware if it had been renewed. Heather responded encouragingly by referring to The Real Housewives of Potomac. She said that if RHOP, which got no buzz at all, could be renewed, then RHOD should be renewed too.

But Andy Cohen, the executive producer, is one of the few people who get to call the final shots on whether or not a second season happens. Fashion & Style recounts that Andy, on the Kidd Kraddick Morning Show, affirmed that the show has some potential for a follow-up season.

He also went on to disclose that there would be changes in the cast, of course. "We always shake [the cast] up a little bit. Now that the reunion has aired and all the dust is settling, we're taking a look back and re–evaluating and figuring out who we want to keep and who we want to let go," Cohen admitted.
