Kyle Richards says sister Kim is sober

Season 6 of "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" premiered its first episode on Bravo this week, and fans saw the return of Lisa Rinna, Lisa Vanderpump, Yolanda Foster, Eileen Davidson, and Kyle Richards. In the premiere, Kyle revealed that she has been working on a scripted series based on her family, and she said that some members of her family didn't like the idea. She also shared that Kim is still struggling with some issues.

The day before the "RHOBH" premiere, Kyle spoke with Andy Cohen on his SiriusXM radio show "Andy Cohen Live" and she gave an update about how the former child star is doing. Back in April, the 51-year-old was arrested for public intoxication, resisting arrest, trespassing and battery of a police officer, and the star entered rehab shortly after. In August, she was arrested again, this time for shoplifting at a Target store in Van Nuys.

"She's good right now," said Kyle. "She's happy, she's good, she's sober."

Kyle also revealed that her sister will be showing up this season. As for their relationship, Kyle said that it will probably always be "a work in progress."

"It's very difficult. We will be OK, and then the show reruns, and we're like, 'Oh my gosh,' and it kind of brings things up again, honestly," she explained, admitting that they have a difficult relationship.

Back in season 5, the sisters argued constantly, and Kim accused Kyle of not supporting her when the other Housewives questioned her sobriety. For her part, Kyle was hurt that Kim seemed to think that she wasn't there for her.
It was reported that Kim was brought back for a few episodes by producers because they were happy with the progress that she has been making toward her sobriety.

Last month, Kim, Yolanda Foster, and Brandi Glanville were spotted filming at a Beverly Hills park while enjoying a picnic lunch, and in the season 6 trailer Kim can be seen at a party talking with Rinna.

"The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" airs Tuesdays at 9 p.m. on Bravo.
