Fans of "The Mentalist" are rooting for Patrick Jane and Teresa Lisbon to end up together in the seventh and final season of the show. In season 6, Jane confessed his feelings for Lisbon before boarding the plane and the two shared a kiss.

Rumors said that in season 7, the plot will jump to the aftermath of the kiss. TV Line cleared up the rumor and said that season 7 will pick up just a few weeks after the kiss.

Rumors also said that Jane won't be boarding the plane at all. Instead, he will choose to be with the woman he loves. However, according to spoilers, their love affair might not take the easy route.

A new character by the name of Michelle Vega will be introduced in the new season. She will be played by Josie Loren from "Make It or Break It." TV Line described the character as a rookie FBI agent who is still a student of weaponry and combat. Despite being a rookie, she displays a calm demeanor in high-pressure situations. Michelle Vega might just be the new love interest of Jane and this will shake things up a bit.

Elsewhere, someone is returning to "The Mentalist" and it's none other than Kimball Cho, played by Tim Kang. Cho used to be a member of Lisbon's crime unit and he also had a brief connection with Samaire Armstrong, who was played by Summer Edgecombe.

Recently, Kang tweeted "She's (Armstrong) on @Resurrection now. Trying to get her to come back to @Mentalist_CBS. Cho misses her." He may be teasing fans a bit about this.

"The Mentalist" Season 7 will return with 13 episodes to wrap the series up. It will be back on January 2015 for its final hurrah.
