'The Big Bang Theory' season 8 spoilers: Leonard gets upset, Sheldon gets all the credit in 'The Leftover Thermalization'

The upcoming episode of "The Big Bang Theory" will be another tribute to the late Carol Ann Susi, who played Mrs. Wolowitz in the long-running sitcom. In episode 18 of season 8 titled "The Leftover Thermalization," an electrical short will interrupt the gang's nice dinner at the home of Mrs. Wolowitz. As CBS promises, this would lead to "a final family dinner in her honor."

Carter Matt says that "The Big Bang Theory's" dispersed way of remembering and acknowledging the beloved actress's passing sets the show apart from others. The show avoided having a big episode that tells it all, but rather opted to reference it every now and then. Its take on the cast member's passing is notably more real than any other sitcom's.

The site also surmises that this may be the last time viewers will see Mrs. Wolowitz's house, given that Howard and Bernadette have a place of their own now. Although "The Leftover Thermalization" is sure to bring out a barrel of laughs, the episode should pluck some heartstrings, too.

"The Big Bang Theory" also paid tribute to legendary 83-year-old "Star Trek" actor Leonard Nimoy who died on Feb. 27 in the previous episode titled "The Colonization Application." The show cannot afford to forgo this one simply because his iconic "Star Trek" character Spock is Sheldon's biggest hero.

"The impact you had on our show and our lives is everlasting," sitcom creator Chuck Lorre wrote of the actor in his latest signature vanity card.

Going back to episode 18, viewers also need to prime themselves for forthcoming "friction." Sheldon and Leonard are the happiest nerds there are when their work is featured in a magazine. However, the latter's joy gets smashed like little bugs upon realizing that the magazine did not put his name on it.

Season 8 episode 18 of "The Big Bang Theory" will be aired March 12.
