'Teen Wolf' season 6 premiere date news: New season expected to launch in late June

"Teen Wolf" season 5 has just come to an end but fans will not have to wait too long before the next season arrives. The show was renewed for a sixth season last year, almost immediately after season 5, and according to reports, the next season is likely going to premiere by late June.

The report states that season 4 and season 5 both launched by late June, with the former premiering on June 23, 2014 while the latter premiered on June 29, 2015. Season 3 premiered on June 3, which is still within the same month.

It is also pointed out that season 6, much like season 5, will have 20 episodes. This not only makes it longer than most seasons of the show but also ensures that the studios will need more time to film and edit the episodes before the series can officially launch, which indicates that a late June premiere would be more appropriate.

According to a report from Cartermatt, there are possibilities that season 6 will be the last season of the show, although the showrunners and executive producers have yet to confirm or deny any rumors regarding the future of the show.

One of the rumors flying about is that season 6 would see the death of Kira (Arden Cho), although this is still purely speculation from the fans.

It is far too early to tell if "Teen Wolf" will be renewed for season 7 given how, like most television shows, the viewer ratings continue to decline with each new season.

It was previously reported, however, that there is the intention of introducing an entirely new set of characters in case the show does move past season 6. It was explained that Scott (Tyler Posey) may form a new pack in season 6 before allowing them to become the main focus of future seasons, with Scott and his friends serving more as mentors.
