'Teen Wolf' season 5 episode 3 spoilers: 'Dreamcatchers' puts Stilinski in danger

"Teen Wolf" season 5 has started out quite strong and episode 3, "Dreamcatchers," appears to maintain the show's momentum. According to the official synopsis for the episode, Scott is tracking down a new shapeshifter that continues to hunt down Stilinski, and Malia learns new information regarding her mother.

FashionStyle thinks that this might have something to do with Donovan who was arrested by Stilinski and Sheriff back in the premiere episode when he was caught for breaking and entering. As he was being taken away, Donovan warned that he'd get his vengeance so there is the possibility he could be the new shapeshifter.

Malia's mother aka The Desert Wolf is a completely different matter. As the report points out, her identity and purpose has remained a mystery on "Teen Wolf" for too long and it should be resolved before season 5 is over. However, the report also points out that her identity might be a big focus in this season, which could lead to a big cliffhanger in the finale.

The report also points out that Lydia's memories about Malia and the Desert, which were shown in the premiere episode, might not have been true memories at all. They could have been implants that were placed solely to torture her and make her life more miserable.

According to a report from the IBTimes, the synopsis also doesn't specify who gives Malia the information regarding her mother and it doesn't state specifically if this information is enough for her to go out and find her. It might just be a clue or it might be the key to figuring out the Desert Wolf's location and purpose.

The promotional video for the episode reveals why the episode is titled "Dreamcatchers." There is a snippet in the clip that shows Tracy attacking people. Both Lydia and Kira realize that Tracy isn't even awake and is still living in her nightmare.

"Teen Wolf" season 5 episode 3 airs on July 6. The show can be watched online through live stream by clicking here.
