South Korea Opens 2005 Christian Social Welfare Expo

Korean churches opened the 2005 Christian Social Welfare Expo on Wednesday to reinforce Christian social responsibilities.

The event, hosted by Korean ecumenical representative organisations including the National Council of Churches in Korea (KNCC) and the Christian Council of Korea (CCK), will continue in Seoul until Sunday. Various activities, such as symposiums, workshops, and exhibitions, will take place during this period.

The Korean Church, with a Christian history of 120 years, hopes to reflect on social services of the past and formulate new visions for the future during the expo.
