It seems like the past is out to haunt everyone in the White House in the upcoming episode of "Scandal" season 4.

In the episode titled "The Testimony of Diego Munoz," David Rosen (Joshua Malina) gets shocking news from an unexpected guest, claiming that some scandalous insider information about the B613 could destroy President Fitz (Tony Goldwyn) and the rest of the gladiators.

The promo trailer for the episode also hints that Olivia Pope (Kerry Washington) and the rest of the gladiators are extremely worried about the controversy that lurks ahead of them should the undisclosed dreadful secret comes out.

"I was kidnapped and held hostage by a team of mercenaries," Olivia says in the trailer. Then Jake (Scott Foley) reminds someone about how grave the situation is, saying that "these files could bury all of us" in case its contents that has the secret of B613 are revealed. On the other hand, the seemingly distraught Huck (Guillermo Diaz) asks, "You want us to find the body?"

But before the end of the video trailer, Olivia appeals to Fitz by saying, "Go to the hill and beg them to forgive you," probably to save his presidency and the rest of the Olivia Pope and Associates from completely going down the drain.

Meanwhile, Mellie's (Bellamy Young) supporters may soon find their favorite first lady in the spotlight.

In a recent interview with TV Guide, the actress who portrays the role of President Fitz's wife talked about Mellie's upcoming transformation from being an inconsolable grieving mother to someone who can overturn her powerful husband.

"She sees the next move on her chess board and embraces it. She feels she's paid her dues, is able and is certainly willing and definitely ready in her own mind. She has always been doing the right thing, being the partner to the person in charge and waiting for her moment to come after his term, and she can have her political life," Young teased.

Does this mean that Mellie will replace her husband once his presidential term concludes?

Episode 15 of "Scandal" season 4 airs on Thursday, March 12.
