The Roman Catholic Archbishop of Glasgow Mario Conti officiated the Sunday mass at St Patrick's, saying that the brutal killing of the 23-year-old, whose body was found under the floorboards, would not be forgotten but insisted it was now time for a fresh start.
Peter Tobin, 60, a handyman, has now been jailed for life for the young girl's rape and murder.
Archbishop Conti said: "The message today is that we can move from the past to the future, so the present is a turning point."
To signal the fresh beginning for the church, Canon Robert Hill has been given the position as the new parish priest.
The Archdiocese of Glasgow previously issued an apology for the circumstances surrounding the death of Kluk, and carried out major renovation work during the closure of the church.
Earlier in the week, prayers were said for Angelika at an informal service in Glasgow.
