'Real Housewives of Orange County' season 11 premiere date, cast: Gretchen Rossi and Slade Smiley engagement wasn't real?

Before Bravo releases the premiere episode of "The Real Housewives of Orange County" season 11 on Monday, June 20, the producers of the show released an exclusive clip that features behind-the-scenes footage of Gretchen Rossi's marriage proposal to Slade Smiley in season 8.

In the video, posted on Bravo's "The Real Housewives of Orange County: Uncensored," Tamra Judge recalled that she talked to Gretchen first before she started thinking about the proposal, which involved flying Slade by a helicopter and taking him to a scenic rooftop where she was waiting for him to ask his hand in marriage.

"I remember having a conversation with Gretchen and I said to her, 'You're not doing anything. You've got nothing going on with your life. You have no kids, you're not married,' and lo and behold she came up with this big plan to propose to Slade," Tamra said.

But host and executive producer Andy Cohen implied that the proposal was really planned by the couple, since Slade already told him that he wanted to propose to Gretchen back in season 5.

"It just seemed like the proposal was all tied into the show," Andy said.

Gretchen, on the other hand, denied the accusations of faking her union with Slade for the sake of fame.

"Absolutely 100 percent no. I wasn't going to do something just for TV -- I wasn't going to do something just to make money."

But Tamra remained doubtful of Gretchen's claims. According to the reality show star, she thought that Gretchen deliberately crossed them off from the guest list in her engagement party because she knew that none of her castmates will believe that she and Slade really wanted to get married.

Meanwhile, the 11th season premiere of "The Real Housewives of Orange County" will introduce the new housewife named Kelly Meza Dodd, a longtime friend of Meghan King Edmond. She will reportedly hit it off with another cast member Vicki Gunvalson.

"The Real Housewives of Orange County" season 11 will also see the return of Heather Dubrow and Shannon Beador, next Monday on Bravo.

I have felt, in my own life, the joy that grandparenting can bring. But I have also come to see how unevenly that joy, and that responsibility, is shared, says Kim Samuel, founder of the Belonging Forum.
