Premier Christian Radio is spreading the gospel across London with its own, self-designed taxi, painted in bright blue and green. The colours symbolize Premier’s frequencies and their slogan Inspiring, uplifting, rejoicing radio.

A Christian cab driver will offer literature and attempt to answer questions on Christianity as he drives around the central London area with the radio securely tuned into Premier 1305 MW.

Gospel star and Premier Presenter, Muyiwa commented, “We love the cab, it’s proved popular with loads of different people, from Members of Parliament to singers and musician because it’s often around Westminster and central London. Who knows, perhaps we’ll see royalty in it one day!”

“I’ve ridden in the cab and it’s a totally different experience than a normal taxi ride. Premier is playing, so there’s always great music or Christian news on and if you ask, the driver will turn the volume right up so you can sit back and enjoy the sounds. Our listeners love it too – I’ve got calls from regulars who have spotted the cab and even people who have found the station by riding in it.”

However, Christians concerned about the environment have thrown their hands up in horror at the idea of cab touring.

Last week Christians met with the Prime Minister to discuss climate change and organised a "speed carbon dating" event in Westminster aimed at politicians. Evangelicals in the US too have recently repented of their previous neglect of the environment.

"If Premier Christian Radio really want to show people what Christianity is about, then I suggest they lead by example. Let your evangelical tool be a bike, or a fleet of bikes. Or better still, walk and meet the people of London where they are, on the street, and talk with them there," voiced Laura Deacon from Christian Ecology Link.
