Starz

Jamie (Sam Heughan) will find out that his worst nightmare comes true in the next episode of "Outlander" season 2.

According to the synopsis for the episode titled "La Dame Blanche," Claire (Caitriona Balfe) will finally tell her husband that Black Jack Randall (Tobias Menzies) is still alive. This could be a big blow for Jamie, who has been having a hard time dealing with the trauma due to the torture that he received from the Redcoat captain in season 1.

Claire found out about Randall survived the stampede at the Wentworth Prison when the Duke of Sandringham (Simon Callow) introduced her to the captain's brother Alexander Randall (Laurence Dobiesz), who told her that he is still alive and doing well in Scotland. Claire was appalled with the news, but she decided to keep it a secret because she is afraid that the information will further damage Jamie.

Yet since the Duke and Alex are both invited to the dinner party that the couple will host in order to discourage the Jacobite supporters from funding the battle, Claire must have left with no choice but to tell the truth to Jamie. Will this distract the couple from their goals of preventing the Jacobite rebellion?

Meanwhile, Claire's life will also be put in danger as she discovered that she was poisoned at the beginning of the upcoming episode. This will make Claire realize that Paris is not a safe place for her, Jamie, and the child in her womb after all.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Balfe revealed that Claire will worry about the safety of their child. "She's been dealing with this pregnancy quite privately because she's had to put it aside to inspire Jamie to heal," the actress said. "So when this happens, first of all she goes to Master Raymond, who she considered her friend, and interrogates him over whether he had any part in it. But she has her suspicions that it's the Comte St. Germain."

"Outlander" season 2 episode 4 airs on Saturday, April 30, on Starz.
