'Agents of SHIELD' season 3 spoilers, plot: Simmons, Morse to deal with changes

 Marvel Studios

Fans of "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." have been wondering where the Kree stone took Jemma Simmons at the end of the show's season 2 finale.

Elizabeth Henstridge, the actress who portrays the role of Simmons in the series, talked to Zap2it during the 2015 summer TV press tour party for the Television Critics Association to spill several details about her character. She said that she was surprised when she found out what happened to her character, and she never expected the show to go all out toward that direction.

"It's so much bigger than I thought it would be. What it is, I thought about it and was like, 'How would they do that? How would they film that?' I just dismissed everything in the realm of this idea," the actress said. "It's very cool. It's very cool."

Henstridge also revealed that viewers will not have to wait for a long time to discover where Simmons was brought by the Kree, and she believes that the result of her abduction will be seen all throughout the upcoming season.

Meanwhile, it was also revealed that Simmons' partner Fitz (Iain DeCaesteker) will be the only one determined enough to find her while the rest of the S.H.I.E.L.D. already accepts her death. However, Henstridge did not reveal how Fitz is going to discover the mysterious place.

Elsewhere, actress Adrianne Palicki talked about the fate of her character Bobbi Morse, especially since her physical abilities were compromised at the end of the previous season. According to the actress, Bobbi will have a hard time dealing with very powerful foes.

"I think it's going to be challenging for her. She's going to have new challenges. She's dealing with not having the use of her knee. She's missing part of a lung. There's going to be a lot of stuff she's having to deal with," Palicki shared with Den of Geek.

"Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." season 3 is scheduled to premiere on Sept. 20 on ABC.
