Macbook Pro 2013 specs, features include 4k display support, Intel Haswell processor, Mavericks OS X for October release date

Consumers are hoping that Apple's refreshed Macbook Pro lineup for 2013 will be released before September, in time for the back to school shopping period.

However, latest rumors suggest that Apple may miss the back to school mark and release the notebook a month later in October.

The new lineup will come with the upgraded Intel Haswell Processor, which will indeed improve the battery life and graphics of the Macbook Pro and Macbook Pro with Retina display.

Another added upgrade for the refreshed lineup may be the display. As HD screens are slowly shifting over to 4K display technology, the Apple Macbook Pros are also expected to support the display.

The Ultra HD 4K TVs have a resolution that is four times more than the average Full HD TV.

The 4K has a display resolution of 4096 x 2160, compared to a full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080.

Apple launched the refreshed line of Macbook Air notebooks at the World Wide Developer's conference in June. The battery life of the notebooks have doubled, thanks to the new Haswell processors. Offered with Intel Core i5 and i7 processors, the Air features a new HD Graphics 5000.

The Macbook Pro and Macbook Pro with Retina displays is expected to be released with OS X Mavericks. The new desktop operating system has not yet been unveiled, and it has been a year since Apple released the latest OS X Mountain Lion.
