Four years ago, Lucio was a member of Brazil’s victorious World Cup winning team. It was a culmination of a long journey:

It began in 1998 when I had my first experience at the professional level with Internacional-RS. I had the opportunity to play in Europe, and now to be able to wear the shirt of the Brazil national team. That always was one of my biggest dreams.

The Bayern Munich defender is a committed follower of Jesus Christ and it’s changed his life completely.

Before I knew Jesus I did not have a disciplined life. I had low self-esteem. I didn’t have confidence in the things I did day by day. Today I don’t only want to walk with the lord but also be more disciplined and persevere towards my objectives.
