Keswick Ministries appoints new chairman

Jonathan Risbridger has been appointed the new chairman of Keswick Ministries.

Risbridger is minister and team leader of Above Bar church in Southampton.

He takes up his new role next Tuesday, succeeding Jonathan Lamb, of Langham Partnership International.

Mr Risbridger said it was an "exciting privilege" to be involved in the work of Keswick.

He praised the "significant" contribution the ministry had made to the life and mission of the UK church over the decades.

"Our focus, however, is not on the past but on our vision for the future which is to seek the renewal of the church for its mission in today's world, confident in the power and relevance of the scriptures and dependent on the transforming presence of the Holy Spirit.

"I am excited and daunted in equal measure about the opportunity to serve Keswick Ministries as its Chair, working alongside the excellent team of staff and trustees, and am deeply grateful for the prayers and support of so many."

This year's Keswick Convention runs from 14 July to 3 August. Speakers include Michael Baughen, Steve Brady, Carl Beech, Steve Bell, Ian Coffey, Andrew Dilnot, Jonathan Lamb, Peter Maiden, Simon Manchester, Jeremy McQuoid, Jon Risbridger and Dominic Smart.
