Fans of rappers Kendrick Lamar and J. Cole have been waiting for their proposed collaboration album for some time, yet as reported by The Source, there is a chance Lamar's recent legal battles may prevent it from ever seeing the light of day. It is for this reason and a recent post from J. Cole's Instagram that sparked speculations that J. Cole is now collaborating with Drake.

J. Cole recently posted a video of himself driving and as he was on the road he began singing a song from Drake's new album "Views," previously referred to as "Views from the Six." While it may just mean he and Drake are collaborating on just one song or it may just be the artist singing a song he likes, it may also mean something bigger.

Watching J. Cole randomly sing a song from Drake has fans speculating that J. Cole has dropped his collaboration with Kendrick Lamar and may instead be working together on a brand-new album but now with Drake as his partner. This may make sense given how Lamar is flourishing with his solo career but is floundering with his legal concerns.

However, the report from The Source indicates that Lamar is not letting go of the collaboration. During the interview the rapper dropped a hint that just like Beyonce's latest album, he and J. Cole might suddenly release their collaboration album by surprise.

"We gon' drop that out the sky. I ain't gonna give no dates, no nothing. I'm just gonna let it fall," Lamar stated.

While this is by far no confirmation that he and J. Cole are still working together, particularly due to the fact that his statements came before he got into legal trouble and before J. Cole's Instagram post was uploaded, it may prove that he still has high hopes of the album being released.
