Jeremy Lin news latest: Move to Denver Nuggets now more likely

There is still no official word on where Jeremy Lin will end up playing and while there were glimmer of hopes he would be kept by the Lakers, the inkling is that he will not.

So it still remains pretty much the same, rumors pointing to Lin being dropped by the Lakers. Through the past weeks, there is belief that Lin could be headed to the Denver Nuggets especially if Mike D' Antoni gets the nod as the next head coach.

Lin and D' Antoni have a good history. They were perfect for the Knicks before which brought out Linsanity. Since their parting, things haven't necessarily been the same for Lin.

At Houston, Lin failed to fit in under Kevin McHale's system. Things didn't go great as well in Los Angeles with Lin eventually losing his starting position to Ronnie Price and Jordan Clarkson.

Worst, he drew criticism from Kobe Bryant and simply could not flourish under coach Byron Scott.

But now, he may get another chance to redeem himself and it may likely be in Denver.

With word that the Nuggets are most likely trading away Ty Lawson, the vacancy can surely be filled up by Lin who is set to hit free agency in July. So does this mean D' Antoni is a cinch to land the head coaching job?

For now, the Nuggets don't have an inside track on who will take over the head coaching position. D' Antoni's name has been around and unless another tempting head coaching name comes up, all this should be water under the bridge in the coming weeks.

Does this mean better days ahead for the Nuggets? It could all depend on how D' Antoni fine-tunes the players remaining on the roster. Judging by D' Antoni's style, it may likely be a run-and-gun Nuggets team for the 2015-16 NBA season.

The good news is that D' Antoni can rely on Lin to start it all and get other players in sync.

Lin seems a likely fit though we have to wait if the Nuggets will indeed look at the Harvard University graduate as a replacement for Lawson come NBA Free Agency.
