Apple Watch 2 release date in March with iPhone 6C?

Speculations float online that Apple, Inc. is planning an early event next year. In addition, rumors say at least two new products will be unveiled by the tech giant at the said event, reportedly to be held in March.

According to 9to5Mac, insiders who have apparent knowledge of Apple's plans said that the Cupertino-based company is planning a March 2016 event. Although still unconfirmed, sources added that Apple will be unveiling the second-gen Apple Watch at the said event. Meanwhile, the industry follower also reported that there will be additional products aside from the Apple Watch 2. Apparently, another rumored product, the 4-inch iPhone 6c, will also likely appear at the event.

Although speculations about the Apple Watch 2 have floated early on since the introduction of Watch OS2, not much is known about the second-gen wearable. According to rumors, aside from having the new Watch OS2 right out of the box, the new Apple Watch will also carry a newer camera, wireless features, and additional fitness-related options such as sleep tracking, and a clearer, more accurate heart monitor.

For the rumored iPhone 6c, however, speculations seem more solid as analysts and observers have already predicted that Apple will likely release a smaller iPhone. In a report by The Verge, it is mentioned that vaunted Apple products forecaster and securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo predicted a 4-inch iPhone with NFC features for Apple Pay and running on A9 processor.

However, the analyst was unsure if the iPhone would be an "iPhone 6c," meaning that in terms of build, it would have a plastic polycarbonate form factor, much like the iPhone 5c. However, if the new iPhone will come as an established "budget-friendly" handset, MacWorld UK predicts that it will likely carry the less-powerful A8 chipset rather than the A9 series carried by premium flagships like the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus.
