Following the digitalisation of information in the 21st century, online Scripture and other biblical resources have become more and more significant in pastoral ministry in many parts of the world. The International Bible Society (IBS), with a vision to faithfully translate and reach out with God’s word, has offered more translated versions of the Bible online, now increasing the total number to 41.

The recently added version is the contemporary-language Korean New Testament. The web-based outreach of the IBS started in 1995 with its New International Version (NIV) Bible, followed in 1996 with its contemporary Arabic Bible. In February 2005, the Today’s New International Version (TNIV) Bible also went online at a separate website (www.tniv.info).

Currently, IBS serves more than 1.5 million unique visitors each month with different kinds of forms, such as internet browser web pages with keyword and passage-search capabilities as well as resources for wireless devices such as cell-phones, e-book PDFs, and audio streaming.

"The most profound tool to reach people for Jesus Christ is the Word of God," IBS President Peter Bradley said. "Therefore, we diligently strive to provide His Word online, as well as in a number of other media, in the language people speak today."

A syndicated daily Scripture service, Daily Manna from the 'Net, is available to other websites in many translations and languages, including Arabic, Chinese, Korean, Italian, Russian, NIV, TNIV, Spanish, Swedish, and Swahili.

IBS is an independent, non-profit organisation with membership in the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability (ECFA) and the National Association of Evangelicals (NAE).
