Fox News Host and former governor Arkansas Mick Huckabee is urging Christians to show their faith and commitment by being in service to their fellow men on Good Friday.

Mike Huckabee is partnering with All In to get the word out to Christians to observe the day of serving on April 3, 2015.

Huckabee explains his inspiration behind the movement: "I've always been inspired by the scripture James 2:18, 'Show me your faith without works and I'll show you my faith by my works'.

"We know that our faith must be alive in our hearts, active and lived out. When it comes to being people of faith we must be fully committed. That's why I've partnered with an incredible organization, All In for an amazing day of national service: Do Good on Good Friday. We all know the greatest act of love, kindness and servanthood happened on Good Friday more than 2,000 years ago. This year on Good Friday we are calling for All Christians to do one kind act, one good thing on Good Friday."

On the other hand, All In founder Michael Philips said: "We want to engage and mobilise the people of God to remind our country what authentic Christianity looks like. We want every person in America to understand who God is and how much He loves them because we believe that changes everything."

Christians are encouraged to pledge an act of kindness that they will carry out on Good Friday through the event website, http://www.DoGoodFriday2015.com/.

Huckabee invited all Christians to visit the website, and make their pledges. "Let us blanket the country with a day that best demonstrates our faith-a day of doing good. Please go to www.DoGoodFriday2015.com and join me today to pledge to do good on Good Friday."

"Our goal is to have millions of people serving and praying in a single day in honor of the sacrifice that Jesus Christ made for us on the cross," Phillips added.
