Previous rumors placed HTC to be readying at least two new flagships for release. One of them, the One X9, has just become official. Meanwhile, same as the One A9, the new flagship is also reported to be carrying Android 6.0 right out of the box.

According to GSM Arena, it can be expected that the One A9 will release with Android Marshmallow. The industry follower stated that the new flagship is every bit an upgrade to the One A9, and this means that the One X9 is a more premium version and should also come out with Android 6.0.

However, although expecting the One X9 to ship out with the latest Android 6.0 platform, Fone Arena suggested that one thing lacking in the One X9 is a fingerprint scanner, which as present on its One A9 predecessor. All in all though, the One X9 has above-average specs.

The industry follower mentioned that the One X9 is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio X10 processor with 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage. Just like the One A9, the storage can be expanded up to 2 TB via microSD card support.

The One X9 also features a 5.5-inch full HD display and dual SIM support, as well as dual BoomSound speakers with Dolby audio – the last feature absent from the One A9.

Aside from the new features, Vine Report also stated that another upgrade that the One X9 will get is its camera. The new flagship has a 13-MP main shooter with BSI sensor, OIS, and dual-tone LED flash features. In addition, the camera itself can record videos with 4K resolution. The front camera, meanwhile, is an UltraPixel shooter with 1080p video recording feature.
