HTC One M8 Windows Phone: Confirmed specs leaked

Days before the official launch of HTC One M8 Windows edition, a new leaked report confirms the much awaited specs of this latest smartphone in the market.

Reports mentioned that Microsoft and HTC are conducting a press conference in New York City on August 19, where the companies are believed to introduce the latest HTC one for Windows.

The latest smartphone had been leaked before and is said to be launched exclusively via Verizon Wireless in the US.

It is said that the HTC One for Windows (W8) has similar specifications with the original model, yet it has a big difference in terms of the software used. It means that instead of using the Android software that was developed by Google, the latest HTC One model will run using the latest Windows Phone 8.1 Update 1 from Microsoft.

The people from the Windows Phone Central are claiming to have their hands on the "exact details" of the specs and features of the latest HTC One for Windows.

If there are no changes in the hardware specs of this latest smartphone, the HTC One for Windows is believed to have a five-inch full HD, Super LCD3 display that has Gorilla Glass 3 protection as well as a pixel density of 441 pixels per inch (ppi). It will also have a 2.3GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor that comes with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage capacity that can be expandable up to 128GB via microSD.

The other leaked specs of the latest smartphone include the HTC UltraPixel rear camera setup, a front camera that has 5-megapixels, a 2,600 mAh battery, as well as Windows Phone 8.1 out of the box. The phone will come with the signature HTC BoomSound, U-Focus, as well as the HTC Dot View case.

Still, the executives from Microsoft and HTC are keeping mum about the reported leak, leaving the public speculating until their August 19 press event.
