Frank Underwood's political crises are not going anywhere in "House of Cards" season 5. It seems that things are actually about to turn for the worse.

With Will Conway (Joel Kinnaman) in the picture, the presidential candidate's bid for the post is at risk. The "Suicide Squad" star will be appearing in several episodes of "House of Cards" season 5, so his character is still going to face up to Frank for the position.

Of course, his appearance in "House of Cards" season 5 will also seal his fate in the elections and will ultimately show if the successful young man will get to burn Frank's dreams to the ground.

If Will won't be able to pull it off, there are speculations that Claire herself will. The former first lady's relationship with Yates already distracts Frank and her attempt at the vice president post makes it worst.

Rumor has it that in "House of Cards" season 5, Claire herself will take away the precious seat from Frank, and her knowledge about her former husband's crimes should make things easy for her.

While Frank will be in an extremely precarious spot in "House of Cards" season 5, things will be far different for Doug in the new season of the Netflix show.

Media outlets believe that Frank's right hand man may find love in Laura. In "House of Cards" season 4, the two shared moments that could very well ignite some romance.

Of course, it will be a complicated love affair, with Doug being one of the reasons Laura is now a widow. Although Doug tries to make that up by donating to Laura's fundraiser, it's nothing short of a deal-breaker.

Whether or not Laura can look past that remains to be seen, but it looks like a lot of "House of Cards" fans are rooting for them to couple up. However, with the rumors that Doug will meet his demise in "House of Cards" season 5, Laura might only be in for another heartbreak.

"House of Cards" season 5 is expected to air March next year. Season 4 episodes are now streaming on Netflix.
