Eight thousand women gathered at Wembley Arena for Hillsong's Annual Women's event the Colour Conference. Hosted by Hillsong co-founder Bobbie Houston, the conference, now in its eighteenth year took place over the course of three days.
The theme for this year's gathering was 'The Greatest Love Story Ever Told' and in attendance was Colorado based author and speaker Lisa Bevere who shared a message detailing God's abundant love for mankind.
"God does not love his children equally, he loves them uniquely. Each and every one of us is a unique expression of his love to this earth," she said.
She continued: "God doesn't have love for you, He is love for you. There is no portion control. There is no lack. There is nothing but abundance."
Senior Pastor of Hillsong Australia Brian Houston delivered a message on the importance of guarding the heart and passions are planted in everyone's hearts by God.
"Your salvation is a work in your heart and what starts in your heart ultimately impacts every part of your life," he said.
He continued: "What Jesus starts in your heart He finishes in your life. Proverbs 4:23 says, 'Keep your heart with all diligence, be vigilant, be diligent about the issues of your heart because out from it spring the issues of life'.
"I believe the boundaries of your life are not determined by external things or what people have said and done to you. It's not what life has done to us, not some great hurt. What defines your life is the issues of your heart."
He went on to talk about how occasionally in life when dealing with the heart individuals tend to "give the devil an open court" in times of trouble.
"I genuinely believe the devil has no more authority over you than you give him permission to have. Don't give the devil opportunity to take up ground in your heart. Why? Because the Bible tells us he goes around like a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour," he said.
Also taking to the stage to empower women was Priscilla Shirer who based her talk on Jesus's first miracle, turning water into wine at a wedding. Her message was on God taking control when the greatest effort is futile, a message she believes is placed where it is in the book of John for a reason.
"What do you do when you give your best but your best just isn't good enough? John seems to be concerned with this because of all the signs he could have chosen as the very first sign, he chose a story of someone who was giving their best and their best wasn't good enough. The purpose of his book is to point people to Jesus," she said.
She continued: "What does this tell us? It tells us that when we come to the end of our selves we have just positioned ourselves at the start of seeing Jesus in our experience. The beginning of seeing Jesus starts at the end of your resources."
