Gospel Legend Kim Burrell to Tour UK

|PIC1|Kim Burrell, one of the most influential voices in gospel music, will visit UK for an exclusive two-night concert at Ocean Hackney, east London.

Dubbed as "this generation's Ella Fitzgerald", Kim Burrell has entered the gospel genre debut in 1995 with her independent debut album Try Me Again.

The keyboardist and pianist has featured and worked with gospel and mainstream artists alike, including Kelly Price, R Kelly, Stevie Wonder, Missy Elliot, Karen Clark-Sheard and Yolanda Adams.

Bringing what she calls 'Jazz-Gospel', Kim Burrell will feature with an impressive full live ensemble directed by Gospel Producer Asaph Ward, who produced her 1998 album Everlasting Life and other notable projects including Dorinda Clark Cole's self-titled album, the 2004 release from Twinkie Clark, Home Once Again: Live in Detroit and tracks on Smokie Norful's 2004 Grammy-winning Nothing Without You.

Alongside Kim Burrell will be Houston native Chris "Daddy" Dave, on drums. Often referred to as the part time drummer for award winning Funk R&B band Mint Condition, Chris Dave boasts an impressive CV of sessions and tours including touring with the likes of Bobby Sparks, Mary J Blige and Toni Braxton.

Also featuring in line-up will be Sharay Reed on Bass, Eddie Brown on Keys and Timothy Mole on guitars who has engineered and directed alongside John Pee Kee and has recorded/performed with gospel greats including Vanessa Bell Armstrong, Donald Lawrence and the Tri-City Singers, CeCe Winans, Kirk Franklin, Donnie McClurkin, Juanita Bynum, amongst many others.

Rounding up the full array will be UK support from the Soul impresario Clinton Jordan, and rap artist Breis (breeze). Also featuring, fresh off the release of their impressive début project "Destroy & Rebuild", will be east London Hip Hop Crew G-Force.
