"Ben-Hur" producer and "Touched By An Angel" star Roma Downey loves sharing inspirational messages on her social media accounts, and in one instance, she referred to God as the people's "lifeguard."

On her Facebook page, Downey shared a photo of Jesus walking on water and extending His hand to help a drowning person.

"Sometimes God calms the storm, but sometimes God lets the storm rage and calms His child. When you feel like you are drowning on the sea of life, remember your lifeguard walks on water," Downey writes.

Meanwhile, the producer is very excited for fans to see their remake of the classical movie "Ben-Hur," which she considers as "the most riveting opportunity of our careers."

"It's a feast, a beautiful re-imagining of this epic story. I think that the movie in many ways is a Trojan horse, because it's an action/adventure movie and it delivers on that, and viewers won't be disappointed with that. It's epic. But...it's a story of redemption, a story of reconciliation, a story about forgiveness," she says about the film.

Downey also reveals that they used the same horse trainer and makeup artist from the classic 1959 film, which starred Charlton Heston and Stephen Boyd.

"This film has been made lovingly," says Downey. "This is a message of mercy and love and compassion and forgiveness."

"Ben-Hur" follows the story of a Jew who was betrayed by his childhood friend Messala, a Roman soldier. Because of this betrayal, Ben-Hur was thrust into a life of hardship while his mother and sister were thrown into prison. Thankfully for Ben-Hur, God was watching over him the entire time and he was able to rise above the ranks and come face to face again with his betrayer. Ben-Hur had his heart set on revenge, but a chance encounter with Jesus Christ changed his life forever.

"Ben Hur," which stars Jack Huston and Toby Kebbell, will be released in cinemas nationwide on Aug. 12, 2016.
