The cameras will soon start rolling for the 11th season of CBS' long-running police procedural series "Criminal Minds."

The official Twitter account of the show @Set_Report recently posted a photo of BAU's empty corridor, saying, "The halls of the BAU won't be empty for long... #CriminalMinds #season11 #onstage", which means that production will soon begin for the next installment of the criminal profiling-themed series.

Series executive producer Erica Messer previously told the Entertainment Weekly that the work for season 11 begins this month.

"Our season in the writers' room will begin June 1, so that's our work for the beginning of season 11," Messer stated.

Fans will see a lot of changes in the casting line-up for season 11, especially after Jennifer Love Hewitt's Kate Callahan left a spot at the end of season 10 due to her pregnancy. AJ Cook, who portrays the role of veteran BAU agent Jeniffer "JJ" Jareau, is also pregnant with her second child. This means that the actress will have to miss out on several early episodes this season.

When asked about who will fill in the missing spots left by the actresses, Messer did not provide a specific name. Instead, the executive producer stated that they are planning to take this opportunity to introduce a "fun" guest star in season 11, and add a few twists to the series.

If Messer is not willing to drop the names of the possible additions in next season's roster of cast members, actor Joe Mantegna hinted that Paget Brewster, the actress who portrays the role of Supervisory Special Agent Emily Prentiss, might join them again in the upcoming season.

"Well, there's been talk of -- there's a chance Paget may make an appearance now and again. Eric our producer mentioned it in an interview that there's a possibility that Paget may return from time to time," the actor who portrays the role of Senior Supervisory Special Agent David Rossi shared, as reported by Crossmap.

"Criminal Minds" season 11 starts on Sept. 30.
