'Captain America 3' spoilers, release date 2016: Will Falcon be new Captain America?

2016 will be loaded with superhero movies. It is the same year that Marvel's "Captain America 3" and DC Comics' "Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice" will be launched.

Is anyone backing down? No. Despite the business rivalry, the two movies are going with the plan. Marvel Comics president Kevin Feige talked to Empire about this matter.

"We are doing what we've always done, which is sticking to our plan and sticking to our vision for the movies, going forward and we have a very large vision that we're working on for Cap 3 and for all the three movies and just because another movie plops down onto one of ours doesn't mean we are going to alter that. Maybe we should, but we're not going to," says Feige.

Meanwhile, a major spoiler for "Captain America 3" was recently revealed. According to E! Online, publisher Joe Quesada revealed on "The Colbert Report" that there will be a new captain and he is The Falcon. Steve Rogers will bow out as Captain America.

This revelation was backed up by writer Rick Remender, who had an interview with Marvel.com. Remender shared, "I've been having a lot of fun writing Sam. It's a completely different attitude." Anthony Mackie played The Falcon in "Captain America: The Winter Soldier."

"The fact that he's not a soldier shifts things up a bit. Sam's not going to be Steve. Steve can be very rigid. That can be kind of joyless at times, whereas Sam is absolutely not that," Remender adds.

Although it is still a surprising change, what will happen to Chris Evans' character in the movie now? Editor Tom Breevort explained: "Steve's spirit is as willing as ever, but his body is no longer up to the task of being Captain America. So he'll instead employ his skills as the new Cap's remote strategic advisor, running missions from his headquarters in Avengers Mansion and providing Sam with technical support and field information from a distance."

He added, "He'll also tutor Sam in how to throw the shield, a skill that's deceptively difficult for the new Cap to master. So Steve will continue to be a vital part of the series moving ahead. And Steve is completely supportive of Sam as his hand-picked successor—the only replacement Captain America ever to be chosen by Steve himself."

Breevort further explains that "Steve and Sam are effectively brothers-in-arms, and there's a level of trust and camaraderie between them, that's matched only by that of soldiers who've fought shoulder-to-shoulder in foxholes on the battlefield."

"Captain America 3" will be launched in 2016 and most probably, Rogers will still be the captain there as Evans still has three movies to go in his contract with Marvel.
